Photo: As part of our travel to Calgary, we staying in a bed and breakfast: Westways. This was the most technologically equipped B&B I have stayed in with wireless internt, IPOD docking station in the room, cable HD TV and blu-ray DVD player. These tulips were blooming in the front yard. I intentionally set my lens [...]
Photo: We made a short visit to Calgary, Alberta for the weekend. It was predominantly a visit to friends and family. On the Friday evening, we went for a walk in a ravine leading to the Bow River. Nothing earthshattering with this photo but I enjoyed the lighting on the clousds with the setting sun.
Photo: For me, this picture is a great example of the value of experimentation. While walking in the woods near our home, there was frankly little of interest to shoot. I had the wrong lens to try to capture any of the many birds; I didn’t have a macro to play with some of the [...]
Photo: Visited Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island. Highly changeable weather with a mix of snow pellets and rain to start but sunny for much. A few drops of moisture remain on the tulips.

For: Apr. 5 Photo: Playing with depth of field.
For: Apr. 4 Photo: An abstract image from a glass ball.

For: Apr. 2 Photo: Not sure if this really translates but I enjoyed the very abstract vision of the grass. We have very little green here; this is truly the worms eye view through a lensbaby with a macro lens on it.
For: Apr. 1 Photo: A simple image of Edmonton; one could not avoid the trees so I tried to use them to frame the city. I suppose I could have tried to blur them more but I don’t think the lens I was using would have permitted the right depth of field.
